Context

Short Leash needs a small, native-feeling app with a menu bar window, and all of its logic is in Rust.

Decision

Use Tauri v2 (stable), with a React and TypeScript UI. The Tauri shell only bridges the UI to leashd; it holds no domain logic.

The app is small and uses the system web view. The UI can be developed in a browser against a mocked daemon. Tauri v3 is not used until it's stable.
